Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A devastating fire broke out at a fair near Bandel Church on Thursday night, just days before Christmas, resulting in the destruction of numerous shops. According to local residents, the fire ignited around 10 pm, and despite their efforts to douse it with water, the presence of inflammable material led to its rapid spread.
Upon receiving the alert, the fire brigade promptly arrived at the scene, successfully controlling and extinguishing the flames. Anindita Rajvanshi Mandal, the councilor of ward number three of Chunchura Municipality, along with Sanjay Pal, the former councilor of ward number four, visited the affected traders who suffered severe losses due to their shops being reduced to ashes.
